Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Cycle & Migraine ("we," "us," or "the app") handles your information. Cycle & Migraine is a migraine risk-forecasting app that helps you understand how your migraines relate to your menstrual cycle and other factors. Your privacy — especially around your health and cycle data — is central to how the app is built.

In short: your health and cycle data is stored on your device. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].

The data the app uses

Health and cycle data you enter

The app lets you log migraine attacks (intensity, symptoms, duration, what helped), medications and their effects, menstrual period dates, and related information. This includes health information and menstrual cycle information, which is sensitive.

This data is stored locally on your device. It is used to calculate your personal migraine risk forecast, show your patterns, and generate reports you choose to create. We do not upload this health and cycle data to our servers.

Apple Health (HealthKit) data

If you choose to connect Apple Health, the app reads your sleep data to factor rest into your risk forecast. This is read-only — we never write to Apple Health. Sleep data read from HealthKit stays on your device and is used only to compute your forecast. It is never sold or shared. You can disconnect Health access at any time in your device settings or in the app's settings

Location data

If you enable weather-based risk, the app uses your approximate location to fetch local barometric pressure (a common migraine trigger). Your coordinates are rounded to an approximate (city-area) level before being sent to our weather service, and are used solely to retrieve current pressure — they are not used to identify or track you, and the app does not store your precise location. As with any internet service, our weather service's servers may automatically record the requesting device's IP address in standard server logs; this is used only to deliver the weather response and is not linked to your health or cycle data. You can turn location off anytime in Settings. If you leave it off, the app still works without it.

Purchase and subscription data

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We receive information about whether you have an active subscription (and anonymized purchase events), but we do not receive your payment card details — Apple handles all billing.

Analytics and tracking — none

The app does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking tools. We do not track you across apps or websites, and there is no advertising identifier used. The app only makes two kinds of outside connection: fetching local weather (see below) and managing your subscription (see below).

Basic technical data

The app may collect limited, anonymized technical information (such as app version, device type, and crash or performance data) to keep the app working and improve it. This does not include your health or cycle logs.
